Our dedicated delivery team will hand deliver your kombucha in our reusable cooler bags. During your next delivery, simply hand over any rinsed, empty bottles inside the cooler bag from your previous order—we’ll collect them on the spot. You can leave them outside your door on collection day too. Easy.

We typically only collect bottles during a scheduled delivery, but if you’ve got a large batch waiting (thank you!), just get in touch with us. We’ll do our best to accommodate a pickup, depending on logistics.

We’ll send your kombucha using SF Express Refrigerated in protective boxes. SF Express won’t collect bottles on the spot—but we’ve got options:

  • Return to Brewery: Drop them off at 16A, Kwong Ga Factory Building, 64 Victoria Road, Kennedy Town. (Entrance via Sai Ning Street only.)
  • Ship Them Back: Reuse the original packaging to repack your empties. Once you’ve collected at least 24 bottles, secure them in a single, well-taped package and let us know—it must not rattle when shaken. We’ll send SF Express to collect them from outside your door.

Please remember to rinse bottles, remove the small seal sticker (not the main label), and pack carefully. This helps us keep the system efficient and sustainable.

Do I have to return the bottles?

Not at all. These are your bottles, repurpose them or take to your local recycle centre if the return process doesn't work for you

Do I need to do anything to the bottles before returning them?

Yes please! Just give them a rinse and discard the small seal sticker. A quick rinse drastically reduces the amount of water and labor needed to process the bottles so it makes a big impact. Don’t remove the main label—it leaves a sticky residue we can’t clean.

Can I return bottles without placing a new order?

Generally, we only collect bottles during deliveries, but if you’ve accumulated a large batch, reach out and we’ll try to arrange a pickup.

What if I forget to return bottles at the time of delivery?

No problem—they can be returned at your next delivery. Just keep them safe until then. We encourage you to simply place outside your apartment door on/before delivery day.

Do I get money back for returning bottles?

We don’t offer money back—we run this as a community system. It’s our way of reducing waste together.

Can I drop bottles off somewhere instead?

Sure! You’re always welcome to bring them to our brewery in Kennedy Town if it’s more convenient.

Can SF Express collect empty bottles during delivery?

Unfortunately, no. SF Express Refrigerated doesn’t handle returns at the same time as delivery

What’s the minimum number of bottles for free pickup?

24 bottles. If this is in multiple 6 or 12 pack sized boxes, then the boxes must be taped and/or tied together to form one package.

Do I need to be home when SF Express collects my returns?

Nope. Just pack the box securely and leave it outside your door—we’ll handle the rest.

How should I pack the bottles?

Use the original box. Make sure the bottles don’t rattle. If using multiple boxes, tie them together into one unit.

Do I get anything for returning bottles?

Not in dollars—but your return makes a huge difference. This is a community-led system and we appreciate every bottle that gets a second life.

What happens if I remove the label?

Please don’t. The main label leaves behind sticky glue we can’t remove—making the bottle unusable for reuse.
